The Tussauds Group
The Tussauds Group is Europe's premier visitor attraction businesses and has developed into one of the world's leading leisure and entertainment companies. As well as the world famous Madame Tussauds, the Group is also responsible for operating The London Eye which has welcomed almost 14 million visitors since it opened in 2000.
The Tussauds Group also includes four theme parks in Britain and Germany, as well one of the country's premiere historic attractions, Warwick Castle.
CCL first began working with The Tussauds Group in 2005, when they were involved in the successful implementation of a new intranet solution. Since then, CCL have completed a number of projects, the most recent being an IT Systems Review.
According to Tussauds' Head of IT, Chris Dare, "this review took place as Tussauds were becoming aware that some of the systems were reaching the end of their life and wanted an independent view of the current and future state of the system."
This project, headed by CCL Consultant Graham Denny, began with a review of all the key systems currently in use across the business. This included speaking to some of the users to find out how they felt about the system and how each aspect fitted into their day to day working lives.
CCL worked alongside Tussauds' Chris Dare to review both the manual and electronic systems already in place.
They also looked at a number of potential suppliers, including an examination of the future of the products which were on offer. This was then overlaid across the growth plans of Tussauds in order to ensure that the revised system would be able to help carry the organisation into the future.
When asked to comment on the Systems Review as a whole, Chris said "The project has been a real success, both from an IT, user and board experience. The fact that CCL are independent makes a huge difference and they managed all of the suppliers, both current and potential, with great skill".
This relationship typifies the way in which CCL develop relationships with their clients and assist in a number of projects as an organisation develops and updates its IT portfolio.
