Triumph
Triumph Motorcycles has always had its own distinctive character and a history of creating motorcycles that become design classics. Based in Leicestershire, Triumph's aim is to craft motorcycles that deliver a great riding experience through the fusion of a well-balanced, easy to handle chassis and strong, flexible engines. The result is an inspiring range of motorcycles delivering intelligent, usable performance.
CCL has undertaken IT related projects for Triumph for the past ten years on numerous wide ranging topics. The areas which CCL have assisted with throughout the course of the relationship include specifying the requirements for a replacement HR & Payroll system, preparing specifications for a new style Intranet system - ‘Triumph OnLine' for Triumph dealers to use worldwide, help and guidance in Hardware selection and IT User Security and for a period of time acting as an interim IT Programme Director.
More recently Triumph requested CCL assistance from Lorraine Lennqvist to supplement an internal project team that required Business Systems Analysis skills. Additionally, Graham Denny CCL's Projects Controller and Brian Barber Managing Consultant are also undertaking a review of suitable software for use in the aftermarket Parts and Accessories side of the business. This is being accomplished by producing a Request For Information document sent to a select group of suppliers based on CCL's knowledge and expertise of software for Automotive type businesses. Software demonstrations from a shortlist of suppliers will assist in identifying a preferred supplier. Running in parallel is a similar project for the Warranty part of the business.
Triumph selected CCL for this project because they consistently deliver a quality service. The next phase in this excellent working relationship will be to produce a full Specification for a replacement ERP Distribution system.
