Post-Implementation Audit
DTI statistics confirm that a high percentage of system implementations never complete and even if they do, they do not deliver the expected benefits.
There are many and various reasons for this, such as:
- Your business has moved on since you made the decision to buy
- Your expectations were too high
- Rushed and/or poorly drafted contracts
- The project team was not 'a team'
- Cultural and/or political issues
- Poor communication (internal and/or external)
- No real 'buy-in' to the new system
- Inadequate training
- No BPR or continual improvement plan
- Too many personnel changes
- Your business processes do not map onto the systems or vice versa
- The software has not been correctly implemented
- The software cannot do what you expected (without extensive and/or expensive modifications)
- Poor or non-existent support from the solutions provider
- The solutions provider turned out to be hopeless!
This is all the more frustrating when companies have to constantly evolve and restructure in order to survive.
But what is the solution? CCL's Post-Implementation Audit
CCL's independent consultants with a vast amount of implementation experience are able, in a short exercise governed by our proven CCL-ITTM methodology, to determine why the implementation has not met your expectations. This is usually a combination of complex issues.
We then make recommendations for corrective action, thereby enabling you to realise the level of return on investment you forecast at the outset of your project.
In many cases we have even been able to make a significant difference to stagnant implementations several years after the initial implementation.
