Interim IT Management

Given the background of our consultants, many of whom have been IT Managers and IT Directors, CCL are well placed to provide clients with a range of Interim IT Management services.

There are three main situations where an Interim Manager may be required:
  • The previous Manager has left and the ‘gap' has to be filled until a replacement is found
  • A specific IT project has been launched that needs specialist skills and does not warrant a full time Manager
  • Inappropriate or no resource to undertake the management role internally and potentially, a need to improve various aspects of the IT function
CCL's independent consultants have a vast amount of experience in IT related Management roles. They are invariably ‘poachers turned gamekeepers' who have in-depth knowledge of the workings of both internal IT Department ‘best practice' and the operations of external IT suppliers.

During the course of an Interim IT Management assignment the following types of service have been relevant to our client base:
  • Day to day management of the IT function
  • Advice and recommendations on IT Department processes and procedures
  • Advice and recommendations on IT infrastructure
  • Management of outstanding IT projects
  • Liaison with third party IT suppliers
  • Restructuring of the IT Department
  • Assistance with recruiting a full-time manager
Whether to fill the gap until a full-time replacement is found or to resource a specialist IT project, CCL's Interim IT Management service provides our clients with experienced and reliable IT professionals who can ‘get the job done' in a structured manner. In addition, our consultants possess the communication skills and personality traits that enable them to interact with the business community (from Board Directors to the workforce) using non-technical terms.
